Make Yahoo your homepage

Your browser "homepage" is the webpage you see each time you open a new browser window. To set Yahoo as your homepage, follow the instructions for your specific browser type.

  1. Click the Tools icon Three horizontal lines | select Options.
    -The "Options" window appears.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Under "Startup," enter in the Home page field.
  4. Click OK.


Verified for version 40

  1. Click the Settings icon Three horizontal lines | select Settings.
    The "Settings" tab appears.
  2. Under "On startup," select Open a specific page or set of pages.
  3. Click Set pages.
    - The "Startup pages" window appears.
  4. Enter in the Add a new page field.
  5. Click OK.
    -The "Startup pages" window closes.
  6. Close the "Settings" tab.


Verified for version 7

  1. Click Safari | select Preferences.
    - The "Preferences" window appears.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Select Homepage from the New windows open with field.
  4. Select Homepage from the New tabs open with field.
  5. Enter in the Home page field.
  6. Close the "Preferences" window.

Internet Explorer

Verified for version 10

  1. Click the Settings icon Tools menu icon | select Internet Options.
    - The Internet Options" window appears.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Under "Startup," enter in the Home page field.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Click OK.

  Warning: If your homepage changes and you didn't change the setting, check for and remove any spyware or adware on your computer, immediately.
